Annual card fees are TT$100 for the TT$ Visa Debit Card and US$20 for the US$ Visa Debit Card. When you use your TT$ Visa Debit Card at a non-UTC ATM, a fee of TT$7.00 is incurred. When you use your US$ Visa Debit Card, locally and internationally, a US$5 fee is deducted from your account.
If your Card is lost/stolen or misplaced, you can access emergency cash from your US$ Visa Debit Card account by calling toll-free: 1-800-396-9665 (US & Canada) or 1-303-967-1098 (all other countries). Using this method, you can acquire up to US$3,000 (or equivalent) per day for a fee of US$137.48 per request.
The Tap To Pay function allows you to pay for small purchases quickly and securely at merchants in four (4) simple steps:
Step 1 – Look for the contactless symbol on the point-of-sale terminals
Step 2 – Tap your card within one inch of the symbol and follow the instructions
Step 3 – Terminal displays: Authorised and Approved Message
Step 4 – Proceed to checkout
- You can Tap To Pay for small daily purchases (not exceeding TT$300 or US$50).
- After conducting three (3) consecutive point-of-sale taps in one day, you will be prompted to input your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for the 4th transaction.
- When making purchases exceeding TT$300 or US$50, you need to insert your Card into the point-of-sale device and enter your PIN to complete the payment.
- The Tap To Pay only works for point-of-sale transactions. At ATMs, customers are required to enter a PIN.
