Dear Team,
As we embark on the launch of the most significant digital transformation of the Corporation, our priority is to ensure a transition experience that is smooth and uneventful for our team members and our customers. As such, we are sharing the approach to the phased launch of Finacle.
Model Office Phase – Internal “Go Live”
Starting April 19th and for our internal teams only, we will be giving members of our ICs and Agencies a “near-live” opportunity to work on the Finacle system using actual transactions. During this phase, there will be groups set up across our ICs and Agency network to allow all impacted teams to work with the Finacle system and gain real-time experience with live simulations from end-to-end. While this is happening, our customers will continue to be served by the ICs and Agencies using the UTCID/AS400 system.
These groups formed will be part of our Finacle Model Office and they will be supported by the core project teams: Sales & Service, Agents ICT, Finance, Operations, Rist and EMV. The Model Office are designed to simulate day-to-day operations, and participating groups will operate from their accustomed locations.
Our goal is to complete a successful simulation of all aspects of the new system, including Uon and EMV cards, and ease the uncertainty of the cutover from the old to the new system.
Getting it right to Cutover
During the Model Office Phase, our IC/Agent Teams will continue to operate on our current platform, the UTCID/AS400; however, the Model Office will provide an environment that simulates transactions on the Finacle System in preparation for our external Go Live.
We want to ensure that we don’t just cutover, but we get it done right. The attached presentation and FAQs contain further details on the Model Office structure and its objectives.
